We believe that being of service is an important part of the human experience. Source Spring honors that by giving back where it can. We make contributions back to the development community and we offer the OF COURSE! workshops at a very reasonable cost to support the growth of fellow entrepreneurs.
In 2003 Mellie Price developed a small business course curriculum designed to give hands-on, practical business training and mentoring to members of the local Austin business community. She taught those courses at Austin Community College until 2008 when she decided to offer the courses directly to the community. The results are the fast, fun, and invaluable OF COURSE! workshops.
The classes are limited in size to ensure a very hands-on environment. Interested individuals or groups should use the course request form to indicate your interest.

An overview course designed to help the small business owner or employee understand the basics. We talk about how money flows in and out of a business and how that shows up on finanacial statements. We learn about start-up financing options, the basic vocabulary of the finance world, how to manage your finance employees, and an overview on some of the critical finance functions like payroll and taxes. Discover the most important financial indicators to watch in any micro business and learn how to avoid some commonly made mistakes.
Next course offering is September 30th from 3-8pm. Cost is $75 per person. We are currently looking for a fun location that includes options for snacks and perhaps beverages of your choice. Feel free to suggest ideas!
